Good: Potato Chip Bandit!
WASHINGTON, PA. — Police arrested 21-year-old Bejamin Sickles after he allegedly broke into a Subway restaurant. It is alleged that Sickles broke a glass door to gain access to the restaurant. Sickles tried to open the cash register but was unsuccessful. Refusing to leave empty handed Sickles took nine bags of chips on his way out.
Police reportedly followed a trail of empty chip bags which lead them to the accused. Sickles is being held on $30,000 bail.
Better: High School for Sale!
A high school in Langhorne, PA has put itself up for auction on eBay. The Learning Center is an alternative high school just outside Philadelphia. The school is part of the Neshamity School District and in the wake of recent budget cuts is trying to save themselves. The winner will not actually win ownership of the school but will instead “take home” naming opportunity, a free large pizza, a personalized school coffee mug and the chance to deliver a speech at graduation.
The school district has yet to comment on the eBay auction. However, the Principal Joanne Holland says, “I know it’s crazy. But with the good The Learning Center does, it’s crazier not to do it.”
Best: Singles now smell out a date!
This is just about the wackiest thing I have ever heard. The newest sensation in dating is pheromone parties. Yes you read that right I said pheromone parties. They are apparently becoming all the rage in places like New York and LA.
Participants are asked to submit a “used or slept in” t-shirt and then dates are chosen by their sent. Can you say ew!
These parties were started by a woman who was too scared to try online dating…instead she would rather sniff strangers…I just don’t get it. However I guess there is some scientific merit. Researchers have shown that humans can use scent to sort out genetic combinations that could lead to weaker offspring.
