Hey All :0)
I just got back about a week ago from being in LA for the Grammy’s! It was so amazing being out there during all of the excitment! My hair stylist/sponsor Oriana Harris of Salon Marc Harris came with me for the week and we totally worked it, lol! We went to a variety of Pre Grammy parties including The Senate Music Group’s, Jermaine Dupre’s and Vibe Magazine’s. There were many celebrity sightings (I def had to wipe the star struck look off my face when I randomly realized I was standing right next to Usher, LOL! ) but more importantly, we got to network with some very important and accomplished people in the game (you know I had my business cards ready!). That alone made the trip worth it :0)
For the Grammys I wore a dress custom made for me by local Boston designer Polina Pantuyshina- http://www.pantyushina.com/ – my hair was done by my sponsor Oriana Harris of Salon Marc Harris on Newbury Street- www.salonmarcharris.com – and my makeup was by LA makeup artist Joanne Kang. I def got teary eyed when I was getting ready- going to the Grammys is something I have dreamed about since I was a little girl.
At first our seats were… Well, not that great lol. But, I was just grateful to be there. Then, about halfway through the show, my friend Printz hit me up and asked if we wanted to come to one of the VIP suites… We were like UMM, YES! So, we had to wait till commercial break to leave our seats because that’s the rule there. The suite was freakin amazing! We were with the owner of the Grammy record label, so we had literally the best possible view, right in the center of the floor! Not to mention the free champagne, oer d’oeuvres and desserts… We were just like omg is this real life?! Lol! Afterwards we went to the official Grammy Afterparty, which was pretty fun as well.
Another teary-eyed moment for me was seeing one of my very good friends, Sean, with my friend Kevin, performing at the Grammys with Justin Timberlake and Jay Z. Sean plays trumpet and Kevin plays trombone, they both went to Berklee College of Music with me. Oriana and I went to hang out with them the next day and we were reminiscing of all the fun times we had in Boston… I can’t really explain the feeling I had when I was watching Sean on stage with JT, I’ve only had it a couple of times in my life, but it’s like this: you see someone you know so well work there asses off for a long time at something they are passionate about and finally one day you see them on stage performing the freakin Grammys. I was just so overwhelmed with pride…
My last night in LA I went to go visit my good friend and talented producer/engineer/songwriter/musician Devine Evans at the studio. Although Devine was the very reason I even got the opportunity to go to the Grammy’s, I didn’t get to hang out with him very much at all when I was there because he was also a part of the production of Justin Timberlake’s Grammy performance, not to mention he was the main man behind his songwriting team The Senate- www.thesenateonline.com – Pre Grammy Party which was quite the production itself! When I was at the studio, I got to hear a sneak peek of The Senate’s upcoming mixtape “Red Moon” and all I have to say is this: absolutely amazing. Oh, and I can’t forget that when I left the studio to use the bathroom, I found myself standing outside of Alicia Keys’s rehearsal which was happening in the very next room! My heart was pounding so hard lol… I love me some Alicia Keys :0)

Hey Loves! ♥
I wanted to take some time to write about a topic that I feel very strongly about…
Budget cuts in schools are happening massively across the country, and one if the first to always go- the arts.
I am very much against this for the fact that children are the future of our race. Artists are important because they are the leaders who effect the culture- think about it… Not to mention- the arts, sports and other extra-curricular activities help keep kids busy and out of touble (for the most part, lol) and keeps kids goal oriented and helps teach them self discipline, which is a big part of growing into a well rounded adult. Plus, kids who study music and the arts are statistically proven to do better in other subjects as well.
The “What About Us?” project is giving our youth an artistic outlet to express themselves and nurture their talents with the once in a lifetime opporunity to work with producer Devine Evans and songwriting team The Senate (credits include Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Britany Spears, Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige, Keri Hilson, and many, many more). I have had the privilege myself of working with these talented people recently and it was quite a positive experience :0)
On September 6, 2012, The Senate is putting on a concert at the House of Blues in LA called the Hollywood Music Summit and all of the proceeds go to help fund The What About Us project. If you are in the LA area, or will be on that day, you should definitely go!

Much Love ♥

Below is a listing of your odd, funny and sometimes crazy headlines and news stories from around the world. Everything from wacky celebrities to just strange or intriguing stories can make the list! Feel free to share any headlines that you might know of.
Good: Potato Chip Bandit!
WASHINGTON, PA. — Police arrested 21-year-old Bejamin Sickles after he allegedly broke into a Subway restaurant. It is alleged that Sickles broke a glass door to gain access to the restaurant. Sickles tried to open the cash register but was unsuccessful. Refusing to leave empty handed Sickles took nine bags of chips on his way out.
Police reportedly followed a trail of empty chip bags which lead them to the accused. Sickles is being held on $30,000 bail.
Better: High School for Sale!
A high school in Langhorne, PA has put itself up for auction on eBay. The Learning Center is an alternative high school just outside Philadelphia. The school is part of the Neshamity School District and in the wake of recent budget cuts is trying to save themselves. The winner will not actually win ownership of the school but will instead “take home” naming opportunity, a free large pizza, a personalized school coffee mug and the chance to deliver a speech at graduation.
The school district has yet to comment on the eBay auction. However, the Principal Joanne Holland says, “I know it’s crazy. But with the good The Learning Center does, it’s crazier not to do it.”
Best: Singles now smell out a date!
This is just about the wackiest thing I have ever heard. The newest sensation in dating is pheromone parties. Yes you read that right I said pheromone parties. They are apparently becoming all the rage in places like New York and LA.
Participants are asked to submit a “used or slept in” t-shirt and then dates are chosen by their sent. Can you say ew!
These parties were started by a woman who was too scared to try online dating…instead she would rather sniff strangers…I just don’t get it. However I guess there is some scientific merit. Researchers have shown that humans can use scent to sort out genetic combinations that could lead to weaker offspring.

Hello Caesar readers. This week we are starting a new weekly story called Good, Better, Best. Each week we will review three headline making (kind of funny, kind of wacky) news stories and rate them Good, Better, Best.
Good: Charlie Sheen freaks out on Female Security Guard
Charlie Sheen is never a disappointment when he steps out. On June 6th Charlie was taking in the Kings vs. Devils game at the Staples Center in LA. During the game Charlie decided he needed a smoke break and went outside. Upon trying to re-enter he was told by a female security guard that it was “No-Re-Entry”. Well this set the “tiger blood” filled self-proclaimed “warlock” into a rage. He began yelling and swearing at the female guard. Charlie was not let back into the game. Before he left he told TMZ, “Have common sense and common courtesy gone in society? That was what I was trying to impress upon her. Let a guy go back in the door he came through.”…I don’t know about you but if I was trying to stress “common courtesy” I don’t think I would have sworn quite so much.
Better: The movie Bridesmaids Inspires a Teacher
I guess teachers in Malibu get their teaching inspiration from the movies. Dionne Evans is a 9th grader at Malibu High School. Dionne forgot her notebook for a class and the teacher response was “Did you see Bridesmaids?” followed by multiple slaps to the face. Apparently she was trying to mimic the scene where two of the characters try to slap some sense into each other. The NAACP is investigating and Dionne’s family has hired a lawyer. The teacher or the school has yet to comment on the situation. Apparently this teacher never got the lesson “keep your hands to yourself”.
Best: Attend “Babe Master School” in Tel Aviv, Israel
Israel is giving studying abroad a whole new meaning. Sharon Rubinstein, author of “What She Wants”, created this “school” for men. It seems she was always getting emails from men seeking her advice on how to get women interested. Rubinstein said, “It’s like learning swimming from a book! Same idea!” So she created a Babe Master website listing her courses. To her surprise men started applying and the Babe Master School was born.
