Good: Teenager Gets Spear through the Head

16 year old Yasel Lopez was fishing with a friend when he accidentally got a spear through his head.  The spear gun went off accidentally when the teenager was loading it.  Lopez was air lifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.

Miraculously the spear did not hit any major arteries and Doctors are calling his recovery a “miracle”. On Monday doctors released details on how they removed the spear saying “We used a high-speed drill to drill the bone at either end to create an opening through which we could remove the spear,” one of the doctors said. “We were able to position him laying with his left side down, right side up, and then we were able to open a large incision.”

Lopez is now recovering and able to speak and interact with doctors.

 Better: Adidas Makes Shackle Sneakers

Adidas released a new sneaker design this week that caused so much controversy it was pulled from being released.  The sneaker, named JS Roundhouse Mid, was the creation of a collaboration between Adidas Originals and fashion designer Jeremy Scott.  People were likening the design to that of shackles worn by slaves.  Adidas responded by saying, “The design of the JS Roundhouse Mid is nothing more than the designer Jeremy Scott’s outrageous and unique take on fashion and has nothing to do with slavery.”

Adidas has collaborated with Scott in the past in which he created sneakers featuring Mickey Mouse and Panda Bears.

Best: The Kardashians

This week Oprah did a two-part interview with the famous for being famous family The Kardashians.  She did one on one with everyone including Mom/Manager Kris and step-dad Bruce Jenner.  In Bruce’s interview he admits that he regrets the filming of Kim’s infamous short-lived marriage to Kris Humphries.  In his interview Oprah asks Bruce which moment he would have kept personal if he’d had the choice. He answers her, “The only thing [is Kim's] whole wedding thing. We went so overboard on that. And the way it turned out and everything.” Oprah ends the interview with Kim asking her if Kayne West is the “new fairytale”.  I think poor Bruce is going to have another wedding to regret soon enough.

After the interview aired this week Kris Humphries dropped a bomb of his own accusing Kris Jenner of “staging” Kim’s infamous sex tape.  My first thought, is Kris a little jealous maybe now that Kim has a new knight in shining armor?
