Good: Finders Keepers….Homeless Texas man finds $77,000

In January Timothy Yost, 46, was homeless and wandering through a park in Texas when his luck suddenly changed.  Yost kicked a bag that was lying on the ground and it “jingled”.  Upon opening it he found damp bills and 40 gold Krugerrand coins from South Africa. His find totaled some $77,000.  After finding the money he went to a nearby bank to change the money and was told by a teller he had to wait for the money to dry before he could turn it in.  The suspicious teller alerted police who came to investigate.  After hearing Yost’s story a thorough investigation was launched; the FBI was contacted and an ad was placed in a local paper in hopes of finding the rightful owner. While they did receive several people trying to claim the money the rightful owner was never found.  Under Texas law the money now legally belongs to Yost who says his first purchase will be a car.

Better: Fall River Woman Robs Same Stores 3 Times in 24hrs

Latasha Singletary, 30, was arrested and charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of robbery while masked. Apparently Anna’s Liquors in Fall River was her favorite victim as Singletary is alleged to have robbed the store three times in 24 hours.  It started on Tuesday at 4pm when Singletary entered the store with a knife and covering her face with a T-shirt.  She demanded money from the clerk who quickly turned it over.  After conducting a search police were unable to find the robber that is now identified as Singletary.  Then on Wednesday morning at 10am Singletary returned to the same store this time taking cigarettes, lottery tickets and liquor bottles along with cash.  Then at 2pm that same day police were called back to Anna’s Liquors because it was being robbed again by the same person! Thanks to tips from people in the area police were able to finally apprehend Singletary!

Best: Self Making Bed

A Spanish furniture company OHEA has invented a self- making bed! As you can see in the video below the Smart Bed will be activated 3 seconds after the bed is empty.  The Smart Bed makes itself using mechanical arms that extend on each of the sides to grab the edges of the duvet, while a set of rollers slowly smooth down the bed then levers lift and straighten the pillows. It is important to note that the company has said that it IS possible for the bed to malfunction and begin making itself while someone is still sleeping!
