Also, I have to disagree that Jordan was the best ever. I think this will be forever debated but my vote is for William Felton "Bill" Russell. He dominated basketball (college, NBA & The Olympics) more than anyone ever did or will. They are finally putting a statue of him up but it is long overdue. He won 8 NBA championships in a row, 9 of 10 and 11 in 13 years. That will never be repeated. He did it as both player and player/coach. (also will never be repeated) He holds the record for most championships by a single athlete in professional sports. He was a 5 time MVP (tied with MJ for the most) & 12 time All Star. He was not only an offensive force but defensive. 5 time NBA rebounding champion.

Between BCN & FNX there have been countless bands, local, national & international that got their big break by being played on those stations. Now they are both gone. It's a huge blow to the culture of Boston. Boston does not need nor want a country station!!! Boston has always been known for its great rock music scene. This is not Memphis. This is a huge blow to that great reputation. IMO AAF doesn't even count. I'm not sitting through Staind & Nickleback in the hopes that they might play a decent song. Forget anything like leftover lunch. The Smiths, Pixies, Pogues, Waterboys, Husker Du & The Roadrunners will never be heard on these airwaves again. Like your picture says "Rock is dead"...for Boston radio it is anyway.

Hi Jack, I know I already commented through fb how hard your articles hit me and make me realize how far we have came. Who would've thought those cute goofy innocent little club rats we all were could be turned into the person our parents did everything raising us not to be...all bc of some little pill. We seen it destroy people before us but like every other addict, we had the it won't get me attitude. But it did, lots of our friends too. But thanks to the few who had faith in us like our moms, we have gotten to experience a life free of being a slave to a drug. I wanted you to know that obviously your articles are special to me especially since we have been friends for 25 years. But I sent this to my mom and after watching her have to put it down several times to wipe her tears, it made me realize just how lucky we are to have such loving moms that some aren't so fortunate to have. Seeing the look of pure pride in her eyes when I have another day sober, makes it all worth it. Love you my friend

I am getting my PhD in communications and am tailoring my research around how we process identity messages: both good (like mentoring and support) and bad (like bullying). I am MOST DEFINITELY interested in bullying in the adult world and there is some research, specifically from an HR/organizational standpoint. I'm not entirely familiar with it but I can be if you need help!
